At the Indian Institute of Youth Welfare (IIYW), we are committed to creating a sustainable future by educating, engaging, and empowering communities to protect the environment and take action against climate change. We believe that environmental awareness must begin at the grassroots level and be driven by collective responsibility.

Our Mission

To promote environmental sustainability by raising awareness, encouraging eco-friendly practices, and mobilizing youth and communities to take action for the planet.

Our Key Initiatives

Tree Plantation Drives
We organize large-scale tree plantation campaigns in urban and rural areas to increase green cover, combat pollution, and promote biodiversity.

Climate Education and Awareness
Through workshops, school programs, and campaigns, we educate children, youth, and local communities about climate change, its impact, and everyday steps to reduce carbon footprints.

Waste Management and Clean-Up Campaigns
IIYW conducts cleanliness drives and awareness sessions on waste segregation, recycling, and responsible plastic use to promote cleaner surroundings and sustainable living.

Promotion of Sustainable Practices
We encourage communities to adopt eco-friendly habits like water conservation, energy saving, organic farming, and the use of reusable materials.

Youth-Led Environmental Action
Our programs empower young leaders to become environmental ambassadors who raise awareness, conduct local campaigns, and inspire change within their communities.

Why It Matters

Environmental degradation and climate change are among the most pressing issues of our time. Through our efforts, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility and urgency in individuals—especially youth—so they can lead the movement for a healthier and more sustainable world.
