The outbreak of COVID-19 severely impacted the lives and livelihoods of millions, especially the underprivileged. In response, the Indian Institute of Youth Welfare (IIYW) launched rapid and sustained relief initiatives across the districts of Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Yavatmal. Our mission was to protect the most vulnerable — including daily wage earners, migrant families, mother-headed households, and rural communities — by delivering immediate aid, healthcare access, and long-term recovery support.

Through strong coordination with government agencies, health departments, Gram Panchayats, and local volunteers, IIYW’s pandemic response became a lifeline for thousands.
