Annual Report 2024

At Indian Institute of Youth Welfare (IIYW), we are committed to promoting health, dignity, and awareness through our dedicated HIV/AIDS & Sanitation Center. This initiative addresses two deeply interconnected issues: the spread of HIV/AIDS and the importance of sanitation in preventing disease and improving quality of life.

HIV/AIDS Awareness and Support

Education and Prevention
We conduct awareness programs across schools, colleges, and communities to educate people on HIV transmission, prevention methods, safe practices, and breaking the myths and stigma associated with the disease.

Counseling and Testing Support
Through collaboration with healthcare providers, we help individuals access confidential HIV testing, counseling, and support services for those affected.

Targeted Outreach
Special focus is given to vulnerable groups such as adolescents, women, migrant workers, and rural populations who often lack access to accurate information and healthcare resources.

Sanitation and Hygiene Initiatives

Community Sanitation Drives
We organize cleanliness and hygiene campaigns to promote safe sanitation practices, encourage toilet usage, and reduce open defecation in rural and low-income urban areas.

Access to Safe Sanitation
IIYW helps communities improve their access to clean water, functional toilets, and handwashing facilities—key steps in reducing infection and improving overall health.

Menstrual Hygiene Management
As part of our sanitation efforts, we promote menstrual hygiene through awareness programs and the distribution of sanitary products, especially in schools and rural areas.

Our Vision

Through the HIV/AIDS & Sanitation Center, IIYW envisions a healthier society where knowledge replaces stigma, and sanitation becomes a basic right, not a privilege. Our efforts aim to reduce health disparities and empower individuals with the tools and support they need to live with dignity and confidence.
