Provided Waste Collection Bin & Vehicle

At the time of writing the proposal to the BMZ, Mohorli did not have a waste collection vehicle. However, Mohorli now has two waste collection vehicles, given by the local government Forest Department. Therefore, it is no longer required to purchase waste collection vehicles.

IIYW has come up with an alternative plan to improve waste disposal in the village. Each household shall be provided with two waste bins – one each for dry and wet waste. Assuming there are 297 households, as is mentioned in the proposal, around 600 waste bins are purchased. These plans have been discussed with and approved by the Sarpanch and Gram Panchayat. The same are distributed in Mohorli to each household by personal visits to their houses and through awareness programmes.
